Duncan Webford

Duncan Webford is Head of Technical and Geospatial Solutions at Continuum Industries, the company behind Optioneer, an AI platform for optimising the routes of energy and water infrastructure. An engineer by training (MEng, University of Edinburgh; MIET), he leads technical and commercial engagement across the UK and Ireland, Europe and Australia. He has taken spatial optimisation from research into national infrastructure planning, including SSEN Transmission's Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment schemes and National Gas's Project Union hydrogen backbone. Before Continuum he spent around five years at Iberdrola in regulated transmission and offshore wind development. A former COP26 Ambassador, he is based in Glasgow.
