Cathy McClay

Cathy McClay is Managing Director of National Grid DSO and Great Britain's first Flexibility Commissioner. With more than 25 years' experience across energy trading, system operation and market design, she has worked at the heart of some of the most significant changes in the electricity sector. Her career has included opening flexibility markets to new technologies in Great Britain and developing the markets and systems needed to balance NEOM's fully renewable energy network in Saudi Arabia. Cathy is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and was awarded an OBE for services to the energy sector.
