Bhagwandas Jakotiahi

Bhagwandas Jakhotia is a General Manager and Account Executive at Wipro, where he manages a large Utilities Portfolio and leads the Innovation Charter for his clients. 

Thirty years at a single firm has given him a rare combination: deep knowledge of the UK utilities industry and its regulatory frameworks, command of the technology, and accountability for delivery rather than proximity to it. He has held a wide variety of roles over that career, including leading the Utilities Consulting Team. 

His account leadership seat carries the P&L, the strategy and the delivery — shaping and structuring large, complex deals, holding the executive relationships, and orchestrating teams across geographies so clients experience one organisation rather than an org chart. He has run major transformation programmes end to end: initiating them, building the investment case, delivering them, and staying the course to see the benefits appraised and evidenced. He has worked closely with a large number of senior stakeholders, helping them shape, justify and land their investments under RIIO and the wider regulatory framework. 

That breadth is what makes his innovation work land. The industry is changing faster than at any point in his career, and each shift arrives somewhere specific — a settlement window, an asset intervention decision, a data model, an operating team. Knowing exactly where allows him to help clients spot the opportunity early, size the prize in their own currency, prove it small on real data, then scale it with the benefits tracked. He is currently leading several innovation initiatives across a wide breadth of technology and domain — the one he finds most compelling being what he calls regulated intelligence: applying AI not to demos, but to systems where being wrong has consequences.
